The LA Galaxy have signed the Mexican player Giovani dos Santos to a player contract. Dos Santos is scheduled to join the Los Angeles team in August after the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
The contract as a designated player on the roster is pending his visa and International Transfer Certificate before wearing his LA Galaxy kit. Due to the league and the MLS policy, additional terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The LA Galaxy coach and manager Bruce Arena said, “His experience and success will continue to develop. We are happy to add him and have confidence he can be an integral part of our success. At 26 years old he’s not yet hit his prime”
The 26 year old Gio Dos Santos formerly played with Villarreal Club de Futbol in La Liga. He spent the past two seasons in the top professional division with VCF. Dos Santos previously played for Football Club Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur FC. His past experience continues with being one of the Mexico’s International soccer team most successful player. He has also experience playing in the UEFA Champions League, the World Cup, Gold Cup and the Olympics being amongst his top tournament competitions.
